“Wheat futures fell to a one-month low after the government forecast larger stockpiles in the U.S., the world’s biggest exporter.
Inventories will total 1.001 billion bushels on May 31, up from a February estimate of 981 million bushels, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said today in a report. Consumption for food, livestock feed and exports will be 1 percent less than forecast last month, the USDA said.” Wheat Falls to One-Month Low as U.S. Inventory Estimate Raised
Farm Futures (Reported 3/10/2010)
“USDA released its March crop report this morning, providing fresh fundamental fodder for traders. The agency caught corn and wheat traders leaning the wrong direction, while confirming strong demand for soybeans.
Prices opened weaker based on that USDA report, but quickly found support from the crude oil market. That's because the Department of Energy released its weekly inventory report as the opening bell was ringing in the grain pits.” Afternoon Recap by Arlan Suderman
