NE Natural Gas Trader

We are seeking an individual who is interested in being a part of a dynamic trading group that offers fresh challenges each day, wants to be a part of a team, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Be a part of a new opportunity for a growing natural gas trading team. This is a leadership role responsible for vision, business plan development, origination and optimization of asset positions and generation of financial basis trading strategies. You should be comfortable developing a trading desk from the ground up with no existing asset positions. You must be a self-starter with the ability to thrive in a setting with minimal management supervision. Must have a strong understanding of market fundamentals, have proven analytical abilities and trading potential. Develop and maintain positive relationships with industry counter-parts to promote future business.

Qualifications:

-Minimum of 5 years natural gas trading experience

-Minimum of 2 years natural gas trading experience in Northeast region

-Experience trading basis, futures, swaps, options, index and spreads

-Strong verbal and written communication skills

-Collaboration – must be able to work in a team environment

-Independent – ability to work on own

-Solid problem solving skills

-High motivation and intellectual curiosity, willing to put in the extra effort to get the job done

-Fundamental understanding of economic principles and theory

-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or related field.
