The following is an except from Fred Hickey’s The High-Tech Strategist.

I knew we were due for a correction –it just never seemed to come. Over the last 2 months the stock market has climbed unspectacularly, but relentlessly higher. Prior to last week’s decline, the DJIA posted 8 consecutive weeks of gains – the longest winning streak since early 2004. At the end of the run the Dow posted gains on 14 of 16 days and has pushed over 1100 – a level not seen since the Lehman financial crisis days of September 2008.
