From The Granville Market Letter – May 20, 2010
I was almost fired several times from my job as market letter writer for E.F. Hutton back in the 1950’s for my oddball way of reading the market but Gerald Loeb was always in my corner and I stayed on until 1963.
My life for the past 53 years has been devoted to reading charts and many of my calls were met with complete Wall Street disbelief. The calls were always early and strictly based on a chart, like a doctor looking at an X-ray.
Now I quote from my April 5, 2007 market letter:
“Some future John Galbraith will be writing a book about the current developing crash. It has all the earmarks of 1929 and will be initially met with total disbelief.”
