BMV 2Q10 EPS reached P$0.25 (+19% Y/Y; flat Q/Q), 1c above consensus’ estimate, on revenues of P$459 mn (+27% Y/Y; +9% Q/Q) and expenses of P$277 mn (+22% Y/Y; +6.2% M/M).

LaBranche lost $0.33 per share in 2Q10 compared with net earnings of $0.13 per share a year ago. The negative results are primarily attributable to losses in the equity options market-making division. LaBranche said that “the market structure changes are having an increasingly greater impact on its business model.” Net revenues were a negative -4.7 mn, compared to +39.4 mn for 2Q09.

TD Ameritrade fiscal 3Q10 EPS remained flat Y/Y at $0.30, on net revenues of $692 mn (+13% Y/Y) and expenses of $403 mn (+21% Y/Y). Net new assets increased +29% Y/Y to $8.9 bn during the quarter.

TD Ameritrade June DARTs declined -30% M/M (-0.5% Y/Y) to 337k. July to date DARTs are -2.7% M/M to 328k. Client assets declined -2.6% M/M (+26.5% Y/Y) to $324 bn.

Charles Schwab sold $600 mn of 10-year notes with yield of 150 bps above similar-maturity Treasuries.
